Synopsis

A KNIFE IN THE DARK Selina begins telling Leslie Thompkins her ground rules for the Gotham City East End. She says she can't stop crimes from happening, but she can encourage people to make sure innocent people aren't harmed in the process. Holly helps by organizing some of the Alleytown Kids to help keep their eyes and ears to the street.   Zeiss is sparring with several men and Penguin interrupts to ask him when he'll be finished. Zeiss explains he's been in solitary confinement for several years and needs to warm-up his fighting skills. Zeiss tells Penguin he plans on using innocents to lure Catwoman into a trap.  Holly and Karon take several Alleytown Kids into their home to live with them. One breaks into their room telling them the story of a group of ex-Joker henchmen have kidnapped an East End girl.   Selina decides to step in since she had put the girl and her parents under her protection earlier. The parents blame Selina. The parents show her the ransom letter. Selina knows she's dealing with amateurs because they are requesting an exchange of money and the girl at the same time. Someone more experienced would keep them separate for an exchange.   Slam heads to a cemetery to make the money drop. When they see the kidnapped girl, Selina moves to take all the henchmen out. Zeiss watches from a distance to learn how Catwoman moves and fights. Slam spots him and is stabbed by Zeiss through his Kevlar jacket.
